The Darkest Moment
We all have dark moments in our lives, we all have dark thoughts, where our deepest fears, regret,
and our insecurities lie to us, saying everyone would be better without us, or us without life.
Moments when we feel not one more moment, not one more day, not one more heartache, not one
more screw up, or one more disappointment you have either caused or experienced. Not one more!
The moments where the peace that comes from leaving all the pain, anger, physical ailments, emotional pain, or mental pain just consumes you, overwhelms you.
I have never known not one person who if they were honest didn't have that feeling at least once
for even a fleeting moment.
Some give in when the darkness overtakes them, some let it swallow them and let the adversary win.
But most of us fight, struggle, through those worst of worst moments... we find one more moment
we want, one more hug, we think we have more to do, we pick up we live and fight another day.
The battle is real for us all somewhere in each of our lives we have felt the pain overtake all we are, or all we were, or want to be.
But my friends these moments are just moments, they may go on for some for years, even a lifetime.
But I hope you think twice before letting the "bully" win, before letting the insecurities, the trauma, the pain, the hurt, the disappointment, the fear, the loneliness consume us.
Because maybe you do not know.... so I will tell you to think of these things...
Maybe your the one who makes someones darkest moment better, maybe your the one who because
you loved them kept them here. Maybe you do not realize the challenges someone else will face and during their darkest moment your gifts will shine.
Maybe you do not know that if you give in your children, grandchildren, parents siblings have a higher percentage of giving in.
Maybe you are not aware that to someone else you have given them life, love, happiness, closure, peace, or so many other things you are not aware of.
Maybe you do not realize God has used to already to help others, he is trying to say hang in there I can and will ease your burden.
Maybe you need to see the pain you would feel when your sorrows from this earth are gone your thinking clearly and you realize you had things to do here, a lifetime of moments you were glad you stuck around for but you gave up or gave in a little too early.
The storm will pass, the pain like a wave will ease, the moments of happiness and peace will come.
Do not forget your God, or whatever you believe in. Talk to him in private tell him your darkest moment, your greatest fear, your deepest pain. Leave it in his hands, know he suffered as you do,
and beyond and he would do it again.
I have trained myself when those moments hit to think of the happiest thing in my life no matter how simple such as Blueberries, my grand kids, the friends, and loved ones, the new adventures, the sorrows, the trials, the wins, the losses, the days I felt like I was the best at what I did and the days I wondered if I were the worst.
But when my 4 year old granddaughter says "Grandma your my favorite heart" Well giving up is not an option anymore, when I eat fresh blueberries, or smell a rain storm, or get a hug I do not want to end well those are the moments I think "Glad I stuck around".
The atonement was to pay for our mistakes, our wrong choices, and it brings with it the peace and knowledge that we can be forgiven, made whole, feel peace, feel loved, and feel life again in our souls, to have dreams, wants, and desires to be better, help others.
I feel your struggle, I see you, I know your hurting, I know your feel like it will swallow you whole.
But someone out there needs you, loves you, someone out there is waiting for you to say something on their worst day without knowing and save them from the darkness.
We are all here to help each other and here to help each other hold on.
There is a song and video that says "Make the Call" the song "The Call" by Matt Kennon is powerful.
When someone crosses your mind call them, do not wait, because you never know what that call may do for them, and in turn for yourself.
I have had those moments where I had someone just out of the blue who contacted me, hugged me, or just was there and knew I was hurting and who without knowing it saved me....
Your loved and needed and cared for and if you need someone call me I am here anytime any day any hour..I will talk to you till the moment or hour or days pass.
The darkest moment can lead to the most peaceful moment, and the most loved moment, and a moment you literally are thanking God you chose to stay because you would have really hated to miss it. They will come, life was not supposed to be easy, pain, disappointment heart ache all teach us, help us grow help us feel compassion for others, and we do we really do appreciate those peaceful
loving moments and cherish them even more.
You are so loved.....
