Life isn't always beautiful

In the words of Gary Allan... Life ain't always beautiful but its a beautiful ride!

In searching for ourselves we will find what we seek faster if we devote our thoughts and actions to others. - Jill Ferrin Bailey

I have been selfish as we all are throughout our lives, and I have learned the real me comes out when I devote my time, my efforts, my prayers, focused on others and helping them.
It changes you for the better, and when I get too wrapped up in my own
Feelings, or such I try to refocus to what can I do.
My parents Luan and Wilma Ferrin were great examples of this, Rex and Debbie Bailey who accepted me as not just a friend, but family, their are so many others, Luann Call Fronk, Beverly Peterson, Doug and Sherry Miller, Michael Wack and so so many others.
It seems just when things seem the darkest that I realize that this is the purge of everything that
needed to see the light.
It does not mean its easy, or pleasant or even something we want to face, or deal with in ourselves.
But I believe its these darkest moments our true worth as we see ourselves comes out.
We can hit the bottom and stay there, or when we hit realize its not a very pleasant place to be and
we CHOOSE to never go there again.
I would rather be hurt a million times then see my children or those I love hurt.
Our choices that seem so insignificant can be choices that either haunt us or define us forever.
My life has been a battle over who everyone saw in me, a daughter, a sister, a friend, an ex wife, a wife, a mother, a victim. But most important is how we see our self, because its in that moment we
decide on who I future self will become.

I have been a victim, a mother, an ex wife, a wife, a friend, an enemy, and everything in between.
But here are the important labels I will always be proud to carry

1: Mother
2: Grandmother
3: Daughter
4: Sister
5: Friend
6: Family
7: Loved daughter of God

We all hit bottom, we all have moments of wanting to give up, not take one more second of this life.
But we all have those whom we love, we would miss, who would miss us, who it would hurt deeper
then anything we think or that we have actually done.
Giving up is showing our Heavenly Father that we dont believe in his faith in who he knows we
can be.
We are not always who we think we are or who others think we are. We are bits and pieces of all of it.
Life has changed us a bit for the better, a bit for the worse but I wouldnt change one moment one second of the hardest times of my life if it means I changed, grew, became who I was always intended to be all along.
Whether you believe in God, Buddha or the Great White Flying Pig ( my attempt at humor)
We are all so much more then we think we are, if we could  see who we were supposed to become
we would get back up and fight even harder.
Forgiveness and repentance is about truly forgiving ourselves and honestly the hardest one there is.
But carrying the burden for each mistake, or bad choice teaches us and we are not meant to wrap it around our neck like a weight.
So again.....
Life aint always beautiful - but its a beautiful ride!
Get back up, and love like crazy!!
Love you all!
Jill
