Purple Roses (Need I say more?)

So for those of you late to the game ha ha here is the story, grab your blankie and get comfy. My grandfather and I were talking about love, marriage, you know the important things a 12 year old wants to know about and dreams of. We were in the yard, he had a bush oh that bush hated everyone and yes I do mean that! It would grab you as you walked by and tear your skin, clothes, you name it. We begged grandpa to tear it out. He looked at me and said you know I could buy your grandmother red roses but to me I would be saying she was like every other woman in the world and well we all know she is not LIKE any other woman. He pointed to the dang nabit bush, it was horrid, but had the most delicate little tiny purple roses so beautiful. According to him so very rare, it took great care to grow them and not get eaten alive by the darned bush ha ha can you see the points? If not go back start over we will wait...okay ready? Grandpa said if he grew them, and was careful to pick them in just the right way as to not get his hands torn to shreds, he was proving to grandma she was worth the effort. The effort in growing them pruning them, and especially picking them. He said purple stood for rare unique,delicate, something worth putting the time and effort into. He said " Never settle for less then a Purple Rose kind of love, I had 2 men I know try they found them gave me but well for them lets face it they were trying to make me happy, they did not really know the story or why it was so so important Even when they gave them it was well (Less then romantic) more like (here is this what you wanted?) Okay men especially hey you younger guys down front come on really a small amount of romance brings the AHH, Oh you are SOO awesome You cant just give them, the woman will not get why or understand. Explain that if she is really important to you you would never make her feel like OTHER women. Promise me and okay you over 40 yr old men out there hey yeah you, save this treasure for just the right one, the right time, pass it on to the young ones...whew Okay if truth be told and until I can go check with Grandpa for accuracy I believe he knew his young granddaughter was an incredible romantic who lived well thats another story.. SO he took the darn bush, made a very VALID point, about believing we are all worth a Purple Rose kind of love. They are not in every flower shop! HA See I am going to make you work for it. I hope my granddaughter some day reads this and laughs and GETS it! My daughter found a man who looked at her this way..(Yeah Tyler I paid attention, I am glad you love my girl) Thats why I allowed him have her sweet soul.(okay did I have a choice?) See if I would not have included the fun way I wrote this would you have waited till the end? Remember Purple signifies rare, delicate, unique,like each of you worth the effort, the time (yes men you also) especially .. Well anyway thats another story.... I placed purple roses with Grandma, Dad, they get it..

Trusting In Something More

  In life we have dreams, hopes, we plan, and we fail, we get disappointed, we disappoint others. We learn as we grow that some dreams come true without much effort, others fail after we have tried and done all we can. We are hurt by those we love, let down, we hurt those we love, we let them down. Life is about a series of hellos and goodbyes. Some are small quiet we might even forget them or be an individual who is forgotten.  We get our hearts broken, we fall in love sometimes over and over and for some we never find the one we feel like we were meant to be with, for others they meet them when they are young and are lucky  enough to hold onto them throughout their life.
